Some of you may know that Jeremy and Chase were supposed to leave tomorrow to visit the Miskito coast (the red portion of Nicaragua above) as a vision trip to see how we might partner together in ministry in the future. The 3 Miskito Indians that were going to be traveling with them came today and said that right now, the river is very low and the boats cross it much less frequently to get to and from where they would be going. So, while they originally committed to 6 or 7 days, this trip could have ended up being 25 or 30 days, depending on when the next boat came to bring them back across the river. As they are unable to commit this kind of time, the decision was made to wait until later this year, perhaps November, when the dry season is over and the river is higher. We are all grateful that they were warned beforehand, as they most likely wouldn’t have had phone service and would not have been able to contact us if they were going to be there for a month! Please pray for our relationship with the Miskito people, that God would enable us to partner together in ministry with them, and that He would show us what He wants that to look like! Pray that He would prepare the way for a trip later this year and that above all, He would be glorified!
