Viva Spanish School

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

We're now in our second week of Spanish classes. We had a great first week with an awesome conversation teacher, Claudia. We've learned a lot and feel more confident in our communication abilities, although we still have a LOT to learn. Jessica and Katie learned on Sunday that in order to be at the level of a 6 year old we should know 6000 words, I think we know about 1000. We've made a couple of mistakes. Katie said that a girl was a market instead of saying that she had dark skin. Jessica keeps calling Jeremy her wife or brother, and she keeps mixing better (mejor) with woman (mujer). Dan said that Jessica and I aren't his friends, then later he said that we clean his house (of course for both of those he knew exactly what he was saying).
