This weekend marked the beginning of Semana Santa (Holy Week). This is the week before Easter and most of Nicaragua goes to the beach for the week. We took a trip to visit one of Nicaragua's oldest cities, Leon. This city has many old buildings and was home to a famous Nicaraguan poet, Ruben Dario. In the pictures above Dan, Jeremy, and Brian are standing outside a very large Catholic Church. And the other is one of the pieces of street art that was being worked.
