In School

Thursday, August 6, 2009

Today we had the opportunity to go to a school and do a mini-service. It was really awesome to be able to be at a school and openly share Jesus. We were also able to give a toothbrush and a small toothpaste to all of the kids and teachers at the school. The kids were so accepting of us and eager to have us there. There are thousands of schools just like this one in Managua, we're looking forward to being able to do more mini-programs like this in the future.
Here we are with the toothbrushes that we were going to hand out before we went to the school.

Here you can see Jeremy and El Perro (the dog), el perro had really bad breath so Jeremy told him that he did and he tried to brush his teeth with the bristles from a broom, but everyone determined that that wouldn't work so Jeremy gave him a toothbrush and taught him how to use it. It was a fun illustration for the kids, and they loved the dog!

Jeremy taught a brief lesson for the kids, it was the story of Zacchaeus. Here you can see Jeremy talking to Jesus and Zacchaeus is up in the tree.
