Although the rainy season has officially ended, we've had a lot of rain lately! Last week Hurricane Ida hit the east coast of Nicaragua. Many people had to evacuate their homes and take refuge in government-run shelters. Both Corn Island and Little Corn Island, two islands that are off the east coast of the country, are now without power, and many people had to evacuate their homes and take refuge in government-run shelters. Also, the western coast, including Managua, has seen much more rain than normal for November because of Ida. Here are some pictures of the results of Ida:
