During the past couple of weeks we have been learning more about three girls Cindy (9) and her sister Meylin (7), and their cousin, Alma (11). These girls have been coming to Camino de Vida on the bus route from the Oriental Market. We've recently discovered that Cindy and Alma have both been sexually abused and repeatedly forced to have sex. Although, we have not been able to confirm sexual abuse of Meylin, signs of it are present and she was living with the man who had previously abused Cindy, her step-father. Just last week a man who was forcing Cindy to have sex broke her arm, and we found out that Alma had also been, at times, chained by the neck by a man who was forcing her to have sex. This is not acceptable!

Through our partnerships with Discover Church and House of Hope, we were able to get these girls out of these horrible situations and into the girls dorm at House of Hope, out of harm and into a place where they can continue to learn about God and become young girls again. This is just the beginning of what we will do to rescue and restore children who are in similar situations!
