Though we had been planning to open
the Refuge Project in the building where One by One has their offices and where Camino de Vida (One by One's church) meets, there were several reasons why this was not ideal, including insufficient kitchen and bathroom spaces. Since we want to build a family environment for the kids to promote emotional stability and a sense of security, we started to think about other solutions.

We knew that we eventually wanted to rent a house for the children and host family to live in, but we wanted it to be close to our offices so we can maintain relationships with the kids and family. God, in His mysterious and miraculous ways, provided an available house
directly next door to One by One/Camino de Vida. After looking at the house, we feel that it will be the perfect location to start The Refuge Project, although it needs a lot of work.

In addition, we have been able to use the large porch in the front of the house on Saturday nights during the Youth Services, when we have a separate breakout session for kids age 4-10 (pictured below). We are so grateful that God knows the desires of our hearts and for his provision for The Refuge Project!
